The Enugu Media Village on Thursday, 16th July 2026, carried out a Local Government engagement tour aimed at inspecting ongoing and completed projects executed by the State Government through the Local Government Chairmen
The exercise kicked off at Igboeze North Local Government Area, where the delegation inspected the new International Market still under construction, ongoing road project, 21 Smart Schools fully built by Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, and 20 Type 2 Primary Healthcare Hospitals within the council. The Governor is also building a Technical College to enhance technical learning and brain hunting.
Speaking during the visit, the Chairman of Igboeze North LGA, Mr. Uchenna Ogalla, outlined several achievements recorded under his leadership. These include youth empowerment in agriculture and other vocational skills, award of scholarships to a good number of indigenes, and the construction of a new administrative secretariat, among others.
The team, led by the Director General of Enugu Media Village, Hon Uche Kelvin Edeh, also engaged directly with residents of the area. Many of the citizens who spoke expressed satisfaction with Governor Peter Mbah’s administration, noting visible changes in infrastructure and social services. During the visit, the Local Government Executives and Ward Coordinators of Enugu Media Village were formally inaugurated.
From Igboeze North, the delegation moved to Nsukka Local Government Area. There, they inspected projects delivered by the Governor, including 20 Smart Schools and 21 Type 2 Hospitals, also fully built by Governor Peter Mbah, and the 40-capacity room of the NYSC Members’ Lodge, Administrative block, roads, etc.. The team further held discussions with the Chairman of Nsukka LGA, Engr. Jude Asogwa, alongside key stakeholders in the area.

It was disclosed during the Nsukka leg of the tour that Governor Peter Mbah approved the sum of ₦1 billion for the procurement of equipment and construction of an oxygen unit at the Nsukka General Hospital.
