THREE promising entrepreneurs have received a combined ₦4.5 million in business support grants at the maiden edition of the Enugu SME Bootcamp, an initiative designed to strengthen entrepreneurship, support business growth and expand economic opportunities across Enugu State.
The bootcamp was organised by the Enugu MSME & Startup Agency (Enugu SME Center) in partnership with 234Finance, bringing together entrepreneurs for an intensive programme focused on business development, mentorship, pitching and access to finance.
The programme provided participants with practical opportunities to sharpen their business strategies, improve their capacity to scale and gain greater understanding of the financing options available to growing enterprises.
Speaking on the initiative, the Managing Director of the Enugu MSME & Startup Agency, Arinze Chilo-Offiah, said the programme reflects the agency’s commitment to creating an enabling environment where entrepreneurs can build sustainable businesses and contribute meaningfully to the state’s economy.
The initiative is also aligned with the administration of His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, Executive Governor of Enugu State, and its focus on expanding economic opportunities, supporting MSMEs and creating an environment where businesses can grow and generate sustainable employment.
The ₦4.5 million grants awarded to the three outstanding entrepreneurs represent a direct investment in enterprise development, providing the beneficiaries with additional resources to strengthen and scale their businesses.
The Enugu SME Center said initiatives of this nature demonstrate the importance of moving beyond policy commitments to practical support, capacity building and access to opportunities for entrepreneurs across the state.
The programme further underscores the growing role of MSMEs and startups in driving innovation, employment creation and inclusive economic development in Enugu State.
