ENUGU — The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Enugu State on Research & Strategy and Director-General of Enugu Media Village, Hon. Engr. Uche Kelvin Edeh, has felicitated with Nigerians on the occasion of the nation’s Independence Day, calling for renewed commitment to unity, peace, responsible citizenship and sustainable national development.

In his Independence Day message, Edeh described the occasion as an opportunity for Nigerians to reflect on the nation’s journey, celebrate its resilience and renew their collective commitment to building a stronger, more prosperous and united country.

He emphasised the importance of patriotism, integrity, innovation and collective responsibility in addressing the challenges confronting the nation, noting that sustainable development requires the active contribution of government, the private sector, civil society, young people and citizens across all communities.

According to him, the progress being recorded across various sectors provides an opportunity for Nigerians to strengthen their confidence in the country’s capacity for growth while continuing to demand accountability, transparency and effective governance.

Edeh reaffirmed his commitment, through his responsibilities as SSA on Research & Strategy, to supporting research-driven ideas, strategic policy initiatives and development programmes that contribute meaningfully to the advancement of Enugu State and Nigeria.

As Director-General of Enugu Media Village, he also reiterated the platform’s commitment to credible journalism, responsible information dissemination, public participation and the promotion of accountability, transparency and good governance.

He urged Nigerians to use the occasion of Independence Day to embrace the values that bind the country together and to contribute positively to their communities, stressing that the task of nation-building remains a collective responsibility.
