Dr. Peter Mbah Among Six State Governors Selected for Recognition in Digital Governance.

The Federal Government is set to honour Enugu State Governor, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, at the 2026 Nigeria GovTech Public Service Awards, scheduled to hold on October 13 and 14 at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Governor Mbah is among six state governors selected for recognition at the fourth Nigeria GovTech Conference and Awards for their contributions to digital governance, innovation and technology-enabled public service delivery.
Other governors listed for recognition are Dikko Radda of Katsina State, Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State, Bassey Otu of Cross River State, Charles Soludo of Anambra State, and Hyacinth Alia of Benue State.
The event is being organised by the Bureau of Public Service Reforms (BPSR) in collaboration with the Office of the Technical Adviser to the President on Economic and Financial Inclusion.
The 2026 conference is themed “Advancing Digital Government: Scaling Digital Public Infrastructure for Effective Governance and Service Delivery.”
According to the organisers, the conference will provide a platform for stakeholders to examine digital public infrastructure, emerging technologies, innovation, financial inclusion, interoperability and the use of technology to improve access to government services.
The recognition of Governor Mbah also comes against the backdrop of Enugu State’s growing investment in digital transformation and technology-driven public administration.
In 2025, the Enugu State Geographic Information Service (ENGIS) received national recognition at the Presidential GovTech Awards for its technology-driven approach to land administration and digital innovation.
The 2026 GovTech Conference and Awards are expected to bring together government officials, technology experts, development partners, private-sector stakeholders and other participants to advance conversations around digital transformation and effective governance in Nigeria.
