Enugu Media Village (EMV), the Most Updated Online News Platform — September 29, 2026
ENUGU State Government’s official Project Monitoring and Accountability Platform, popularly known as the Enugu Project Meter, has recorded 341 government infrastructure projects across the state, providing citizens with real-time access to information on the status and implementation of public projects.
Data on the official platform, updated September 29, 2026, shows that 111 projects have been marked completed, while 230 projects are listed as on track and active across the 17 local government areas of the state.
The platform, developed as a digital transformation initiative of the Enugu State Government, is designed to strengthen transparency, public accountability and effective monitoring of infrastructure projects from project commencement through completion.
Real-Time Project Monitoring
According to the Project Meter, the platform provides information on government infrastructure projects, including their locations, ministries responsible, contractors, timelines and reported progress.
It also enables users to track projects across different local government areas and filter them according to project status, ministry and other categories.
The system is designed to give government officials, citizens and other stakeholders greater visibility into the implementation of public projects and create a mechanism for identifying issues that may require attention.
The platform’s homepage describes the system as a tool for real-time infrastructure oversight and accountability, with features for geo-tagged updates, field verification, citizen incident reports and public project logs.
Projects Spread Across 17 LGAs
The Project Meter records projects across all 17 local government areas of Enugu State.
The current distribution shows Enugu East and Ezeagu with 31 projects each, followed by Oji River with 29, Nkanu East with 26, Enugu North with 24, while Udi and Igbo Etiti have 23 projects each.
Other local government areas also have projects captured on the platform, including Nsukka, Enugu South, Nkanu West, Igbo Eze South, Uzo-Uwani, Isi-Uzo, Aninri, Awgu and Udenu.
The spread reflects the state’s attempt to provide a centralised digital record of infrastructure interventions across different communities rather than relying solely on conventional project announcements.
Strengthening Accountability
Beyond simply listing projects, the platform incorporates mechanisms through which citizens can report infrastructure defects, anomalies and other issues using photo evidence and geo-tagged locations.
The system provides for field verification of submitted reports, contractor actions on verified defects and public tracking of reported cases through different stages of resolution.
This digital approach is intended to strengthen citizen participation in governance while providing government with additional tools for monitoring contractors and assessing project implementation.
Part of Enugu’s Wider Development Strategy
The Project Meter comes amid the Mbah administration’s broader infrastructure and development programme, which includes investments in roads, education, healthcare, housing, transportation, tourism and other sectors.
The Enugu State Executive Council has also recently approved additional strategic projects aimed at strengthening infrastructure, housing, healthcare, tourism and public-service delivery, including the completion of abandoned sections of the State Secretariat Complex.
With the Project Meter providing a central digital platform for monitoring infrastructure, the state government is increasingly using technology as part of its broader effort to improve transparency, project oversight and public access to development information.
The latest figures therefore provide a snapshot of the state’s publicly listed infrastructure portfolio as of September 29, 2026, with 341 projects recorded, 111 completed and 230 classified as on track/active.
Enugu Media Village (EMV), the Most Updated Online News Platform, will continue to monitor the implementation of government projects across Enugu State and provide citizens with timely information on development activities, project progress and public accountability.
