Governor of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, has approved the appointment of 680 officials to serve across the state’s 68 Development Centres, in a move aimed at strengthening grassroots administration and development.
According to reports published on Thursday, the appointments cover 10 officials for each Development Centre, comprising an Administrator, a Secretary and eight members.
The appointments are expected to enhance coordination of government programmes and improve engagement with communities across the state’s 17 Local Government Areas.
The Development Centres are designed to bring governance and development activities closer to the grassroots, complementing the state’s broader efforts to improve public service delivery and accelerate development across communities.
The latest appointments come amid the Mbah administration’s wider institutional and infrastructure reforms, with the state government highlighting extensive investments and development milestones across sectors.
The new officials are expected to contribute to the administration of the Development Centres and support the implementation of government initiatives at the grassroots level.
