ENUGU — Thousands of youths across Enugu State are set to converge on the International Conference Centre, Enugu, on Thursday, September 10, for the maiden edition of Peter Eze Youth Connect 2026, an initiative focused on connecting young people with jobs, skills, education and career opportunities.
The programme, convened by the Federal Commissioner representing Enugu State at the Federal Character Commission, Hon. Peter Ogbonna Eze, is themed “Beyond Quotas: Unlocking Opportunities for Enugu Youths Through the Federal Character Commission.”
According to the organisers, the engagement will provide practical information and guidance on employment, scholarships, grants, fellowships, internships, entrepreneurship, digital careers, professional development and leadership opportunities.
Eze said the initiative was designed to bridge the information gap that often prevents qualified young people from identifying and accessing legitimate opportunities.
He urged Enugu youths to take advantage of the platform, stressing the importance of preparation, relevant skills and the ability to actively pursue available opportunities.
The event is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at the International Conference Centre, Enugu, and is expected to attract students, graduates, entrepreneurs, job seekers and young professionals from across the state.
The initiative comes amid wider efforts to expand employment and skills opportunities for young people in Enugu, including state-supported programmes connecting youths to training, job placements and digital careers.
Enugu Media Village (EMV), the Most Updated Online News Platform, will continue to report relevant developments and initiatives shaping opportunities for Enugu youths.
