Enugu Media Village (EMV), the Most Updated Online News Platform — 24 October 2026.

NIGERIA’S Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Dr. Kingsley Tochukwu Udeh, SAN, is set to launch a grassroots political mobilisation movement known as As Tinubu and Mbah Move (ATM) to support the re-election bids of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Enugu State Governor, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, ahead of the 2027 general elections.

As part of preparations for the planned launch, the minister has unveiled 17 branded Toyota buses to facilitate grassroots mobilisation and strengthen the movement’s presence across communities, wards and polling units.

The development was disclosed during a strategy meeting held on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at the ATM secretariat in Enugu, where members deliberated on the movement’s organisational structure and preparations for its formal unveiling.

According to reports, Dr. Udeh charged members to move beyond publicity-driven activities and focus on practical grassroots engagement capable of producing measurable results.

He emphasised the importance of community-level mobilisation, urging members to take responsibility for coordinating the movement’s activities in their respective communities, wards and polling units.

The minister explained that ATM was established to provide members with a platform to participate in political activities, connect with political leaders and engage government officials on issues affecting their communities.

He also pledged to spend more time in the South-East during the campaign period to coordinate the movement’s activities.

Local Government Mobilisation to Begin in November

Earlier, the ATM Coordinator, Igboke Onyebuchi, said the strategy meeting was convened to establish and ratify the movement’s structures ahead of the planned commencement of local government-level mobilisation in November.

Onyebuchi described ATM as a political movement comprising community mobilisers, union leaders and individuals from the civic space, including people who are not career politicians but are willing to participate in the political process.

He explained that the movement intends to adopt a community-based approach, with particular attention to reaching rural residents and strengthening existing grassroots structures of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

According to him, a community map has already been developed to guide the movement’s engagement with residents and support the coordination of its mobilisation activities.

The coordinator also expressed hope that the platform would encourage greater participation among young people with strong professional and intellectual backgrounds.

Political Participation Ahead of 2027

The planned launch of ATM comes as political activities and mobilisation efforts begin to take shape ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The movement has identified support for President Tinubu and Governor Mbah as its principal political objectives, with its proposed grassroots structure designed to extend its activities across communities and polling units.

The formal launch is expected to provide further details on the movement’s leadership structure, operational plans and community-level activities.
