PRESIDENT Bola Ahmed Tinubu has returned to Nigeria after spending about four weeks in Europe, ending his extended working vacation abroad.
The President arrived at the Presidential Wing of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, on Tuesday evening after departing Paris, France.
Tinubu is expected to participate in activities marking Nigeria’s 66th Independence Anniversary on October 1 and resume key official engagements.
The Presidency said the President’s return through Lagos was also to honour the memory of the late Chief Moshood Abiola, a prominent figure in Nigeria’s democratic history.
President Tinubu had during his stay held engagements in France and other European locations, including discussions with government and business leaders on investment and economic cooperation.
His return comes ahead of the Independence Day celebrations, with Nigerians expected to receive his national address on Thursday.
