ENUGU State’s infrastructure development programme continues to record activity across different parts of the state, with the official Enugu State Government Project Monitoring & Accountability Platform currently listing 341 government projects as of September 22, 2026.
According to the government’s digital project dashboard, 111 projects are listed as completed, while 230 are classified as “On Track” and active. The platform provides a centralised digital record through which members of the public can view government infrastructure projects, their locations, reported progress, contractors and implementation status.
The development represents a shift towards using digital tools not only to communicate government projects but also to provide a mechanism for monitoring implementation across communities.
Projects Spread Across All 17 Local Government Areas
The project dashboard indicates that infrastructure interventions are distributed across all 17 local government areas of Enugu State.
The current breakdown shows Enugu East and Ezeagu with 31 projects each, followed by Oji River with 29, Nkanu East with 26, Enugu North with 24, Udi and Igbo Etiti with 23 each, Igbo Eze North and Nsukka with 20 each, and Enugu South with 19.
Other local government areas represented on the platform include Nkanu West with 18 projects, Igbo Eze South and Uzo-Uwani with 16 each, Isi-Uzo with 13, Aninri and Awgu with 11 each, and Udenu with 10 projects.
The distribution suggests that the infrastructure programme is not limited to the state capital, with projects also being tracked in communities across the state’s three senatorial zones.
Road Infrastructure Remains a Major Component
A significant number of the projects listed on the platform relate to road construction and rehabilitation.
Among the projects currently featured are road interventions covering areas such as Emene, Trans-Ekulu, New GRA, Old GRA, New Haven, Awkunanaw, Achara Layout, Uwani and Garriki.
One of the listed projects, for example, covers selected roads in the Awkunanaw/Achara Layout/Uwani/Garriki zone, while another involves selected roads across Trans-Ekulu, New GRA and Old GRA. Other entries include the construction of roads linking communities in Nkanu East and road-related interventions in other parts of the state.
Beyond urban roads, the platform also contains projects connecting and serving communities outside the Enugu metropolis, reinforcing the importance of rural and inter-community infrastructure to the state’s development programme.
Tourism, Technology, Hospitality and Aviation Projects

The latest listings on the platform include the Proposed Tourist Site Development, the Development of a Tech Hub, the Construction of the ICC Five-Star Hotel, and ongoing works at Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu. These projects are currently classified as “On Track” on the government dashboard.

For example, the platform lists the Smart School Central School, Inyi, Oji River, the Army Children School, 82 Division, Asata Primary School, and the Smart School at Girls’ Secondary School, Owelle, Enugu-Owelle Village. Several of these projects are currently classified as on track.
