The University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) today successfully held its 55th Convocation Ceremony, bringing together government officials, academia, traditional rulers, students, alumni, and distinguished guests from across the country to celebrate academic excellence and national development.
A major highlight of the ceremony was the 55th Convocation Lecture, delivered by the Executive Governor of Enugu State, His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, on the theme:
“Restoring the Dignity of Man: Enugu’s Quantum Leap in Human Development and Inclusive Prosperity through Experiential Learning.”
Governor Mbah highlighted the importance of education, innovation, human capital development, and inclusive prosperity as key drivers of sustainable development and economic transformation.
The ceremony also witnessed the graduation of 12,895 students and the conferment of honorary degrees on distinguished Nigerians, including Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, in recognition of her outstanding contributions to national development.
