The Enugu Media Village on Thursday, 16th July 2026, embarked on a Local Government inspection tour to assess the impact of Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah’s administration across Enugu State through projects being delivered in partnership with Local Government Chairmen.

The delegation, led by the Director General of Enugu Media Village, Hon. Engr. Kelvin Edeh-UKE, began the exercise in Igboeze North LGA.

There, the team inspected key projects executed under the Governor’s mandate, including:
– 21 Smart Schools fully built by Governor Peter Mbah to modernize basic education
– 20 Type 2 Primary Healthcare Centres delivered by the state government to bring quality healthcare closer to the people
– An ongoing Technical College in Igboeze North LGA currently being constructed by Governor Mbah
– The ongoing International Market and road projects being facilitated by the LGA

In his remarks, the Chairman of Igboeze North LGA, Hon. Uchenna Ogalla credited the visible transformation in the area to the support and funding from Governor Mbah’s administration. He noted additional gains under the Governor’s leadership, including youth empowerment, scholarship awards, improved security, and the construction of a new administrative secretariat. An extra Smart School was also added to the LGA to expand access to education.

Residents who spoke during the visit expressed satisfaction with Governor Mbah’s people-focused governance, citing noticeable improvements in infrastructure and social services.

The team was also inaugurated during the visit: the Local Government Executives and Ward Coordinators of Enugu Media Village for Igboeze North.

From Igboeze North, the delegation proceeded to Nsukka LGA.
Here too, the hallmark projects of Governor Peter Mbah took center stage:
– 20 Smart Schools fully constructed by the state government
– 21 Type 2 Hospitals fully built by Governor Mbah
The council also showcased an LGA-executed 40-capacity NYSC Members’ Lodge, administrative block, and road projects.

A major announcement during the Nsukka engagement was that Governor Peter Mbah has approved ₦1 billion for the procurement of equipment and the construction of an oxygen plant at Nsukka General Hospital — a critical boost to healthcare delivery in the zone.

In discussions with the Chairman of Nsukka LGA, Hon. Engr. Jude Asogwa, and other stakeholders, it was emphasized that these projects reflect the Governor’s agenda of taking development directly to the grassroots.
